Notes

  • Day out taking Henners to the park. He loved it and didn’t want to leave.

I need to get fit enough to run this area in the early mornings.

Here’s a picture of a swan we fed peas to.

A white swan stands on the small shore of a lake - the lake in the background. The swan is eating frozen peas off the floor. It is sunny and only the faint remnants of light clouds are in the sky. The foliage and small trees on the shore line have no leaves yet. Just off shore a small stone structure can be seen.

  • My old boss, and someone I consider a friend — Andy Hawthorne, has recently started blogging. And the posts are coming in thick and fast.

Love his writing style and sense of humor that comes through the page.

    Life, photography and work…

Just wanted to share his website out.

  • Michelle Trachtenberg as Dawn Summers

Gutted to hear the sad news that Michelle Trachtenberg, who played Dawn from series 5 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has died at only 39 years old.

  • Screenshot of an online post that reads "Days Gone Remastered announced for PS5, launches April 25"
The image below that title shows the silhouette artwork of the a man with backwards cap and biker jacket, his back facing towards us. The bottom of his silhouette tapers off and shows fire with zombies running towards us.

Days gone PS5 remaster is finally coming!!!

One of my favourite games I’ve ever played. It’s incredible.

Can’t wait to replay this again.

  • My single criticism of The I.T. crowd is this:

    “Track 4 Coffin Fodder”

Coffin Fodder is the 9th song on the Nymphetamine album.

    That is all. 🙂

  • the world is in an absolute shit show of a state.

its incrdedibly depressing to watch it unfold and have zero power to do anything.

really getting to me today. And I shouldn’t complain because most people have it much worse off than me.

  • How does this Orwellian bill affect a single person website that federates on fediverse?

For example, my website is WordPress self-hosted, only I post on it, but I federate with the Activitypub plugin.

Does that mean I have to watch what I say less I get in trouble if I get federated somewhere where I get in trouble, or do I stop federating all together?

The bill is written on the UK government website under “Science and innovation section”, but this is anything but innovation.

    Who’s there?

    Hike.

    Hike who?

    Unsuspecting child,
    Dad waiting with baited breath,
    Sets the perfect trap.

  • Tonight I took Henry on a 45-minute drive around the local country roads whilst listening to “The Dark Side of the Moon” in its entirety.

    Tonight was a good night.

  • A huge portion of the UK’s information is stored with US companies.

Health data; company data; people’s personal information; social interactions.

    Both by choice and necessity.

    This is mental.

What can we do to convince people how terrible an idea this is.

(this includes me at the moment)

Possibly just mixed in my mind, but I liked the vibes.
