Starting on The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon series 2. Would have loved more episodes per series, but the first one was nice and focused. 🗼🧟🧟♀️🧟🏹

What aspects of your cultural heritage are you most proud of or interested in?
I have an interest in the history of Britain.
It’s not something I actively pursue at the moment though.
I started listening to the British History Podcast, which was very interesting and entertaining to listen to.
Writing this based on today’s prompt has reminded me of that interest and so may pick up my learning once again.

I really need to get my shit together and start degoogling completely.
Tried it so many times before but need to commit.
Music will be the trickiest to replace. I have a tonne of CDs to rip to digital but the ease of discovering new stuff may be trickier. #degoogle

The drive to be constantly innovating to sell more new shit, when the shit we have works fine, is ruining technology.
I don’t want a new phone every year. I don’t want a new computer every six months. I don’t want a software upgrade that changes everything. I don’t want a fancy new language we have to rewrite everything in for reasons.
I want bug fixes. I want security patches. I want removal of fundamentally broken things. I want big thick manuals with full coverage of every option and setting and function call. I want people to be able to learn programming the way you learn woodworking – as a mature discipline not subject to regular world shaking innovation.
100% agree with this. No to the shiny shiny all the time.

Linkin Park – The Emptiness Machine
Really digging the new Linkin Park song “The Emptiness Machine”.
And the new members are a welcome addition.
Emily fits really well in my opinion and her vocals on this song make me excited for Linkin Park’s future.
Yes, Chester is missed greatly, and I can’t imagine the pressure of taking his spot, but she’s doing great.
On their Livestream, a couple of the old songs were a little jarring for me. But only because it’s a new person singing them.
On the whole she brought something both reminiscent and fresh to the songs I have grown up loving.
If people hate the idea of lineup changes then tell them to check out Fleetwood Mac – they’ll lose their heads.
