Gliding down to the Tallneck
Aloy glides down from the Cinnabar Sands satellite dish, towards the head of the Tallneck.
I died far too many times from the two Scrappers and Skydrifter on site — with no metal shards left at the start of the encounter no less.
I should add that I’m playing on ultra hard mode (not new game plus). So I’m essentially naked at this point in the game. :S
Sorry to all the people who follow me. I’ve been indecisive about which fedi instance I want to keep as my home.
I have now settled on my WordPress website with the ActivityPub and Friends plugins.
I did switch to YunoHost with a mastodon instance, but that server is already costing me too much money and I need a new boiler.
So everything I post online will be on this website from this moment going forward.

I’ve been trying to get some PlayStation time in again.
It’s been a while with two small children about.

Capturing the stories
I have an internet friend who was also once my boss.
He writes a lot over on his blog — he writes blogging tips, short stories, cyberpunk, funny/quirky tales.
I find it inspiring for myself wanting to create short stories too.
Not short stories in books — just blog-length ones.
I tend to get little ideas of “what ifs” pop in my head now and again, but most end up getting forgotten.
I need to start using my notebook again.
As I write this, the tap is dripping, and I am thinking “Maybe a story about the frustrations of a dripping tap”.
We’ll see.
This post is one of those thoughts too: the thought that I should start to just write the ideas that I have.
No filter.
No excuses.
Let’s see how this goes.

I’m back up and running with #YunoHost again.
This time for keeps.
Using #Immich for photos and video backups and viewings. It’s incredible.
Set up initial #PeerTube instance where I’ll prob share short Playstation 5 clips I make.
And #Forgejo for moving all of my public repositories out of GitHub.
Gonna try and write up some longer posts about it all soon.
The logic of reform UK (fash) party:
“We want to stop all the ‘foreigners’ from entering our country.”
Also: “we want to restore Britain to it’s ‘great’ days of ‘world trade’ etc” — obviously referring to the days of empire*.
*Yano, the times when we would be the “foreigners” invading other countries for their raw materials and riches.
Also: “Our Culture” as they refer to it, was mostly imported into Britain as the result of all that colonialism.
Prove me wrong.
