  • Trying to get ownCloud installed tonight. Firstly having to install a fresh copy of Ubuntu.

  • Thoughts on The Tale of Peter Rabbit

    The Tale of Peter Rabbit was an enjoyable little read. One thing that did stand out to me was the fact that out of the four rabbit siblings, the three girls were the well-behaved ones and Peter, the only boy, was the naughty little one who snuck on to Mr McGregor’s land. Was Beatrix Potter biased or am I reading too much into it? Nonetheless an enjoyable read.

  • Beatrix Potter Challenge

    Although not a challenge in the typical sense, my girlfriend has said that I should read all of Beatrix Potter’s books. I’ve only ever read one, which was ‘The Tale of Jeremy Fisher’ – and that was recently.

    So I accepted the challenge.

    With each one I read I’ll add my thoughts.

  • A great finale to American Horror Story Coven. Tomorrow begins the Freak Show. Looking forward to Jessica Lange’s performance of Gods and Monsters.

  • Not since Twin Peaks have I been so blown away by the use of music in TV. Until I saw American Horror Story.

  • Starting to learn VIM

  • The pounding feet; the ongoing procession of commuters. Welcome to Tuesday.

  • Rolling out live changes at 12:20am – never a good idea.

  • I am the one – the only one; I am the god of kingdom come; Gimme the Prize! just gimme the Prize!

  • Great weather for ducks.

  • I don’t like how Android Twitter app loads linked websites within its own window. It should open in a browser not through twitter.

  • Just had an email from a recruiter about some job somewhere. It noted the skills required and said also: “perhaps most importantly, you will have dropped support for IE7”. Like that’s a skill to have.
